The Heisman Trophy Race is starting to take shape as the College Football Season moves on, so it’s time for a fresh batch of Heisman Trophy Power Rankings. There are a few front runners for the 2020 Heisman Trophy, led by Joe Burrow, Chase Young, Tua Tagovailoa, Jalen Hurts and Justin Fields. The Heisman Trophy Power Rankings have had a big change. LSU QB Joe Burrow and Oklahoma QB Jalen Hurts are still near the top, but they are joined by Ohio State DE Chase Young. Defensive players almost never win the Heisman Trophy, but could that change in 2020 with Young? He’s balled out this year, as highlighted by his dominant performance against the Wisconsin Badgers. Jonathan Taylor will remain in the mix as his historic college football career continues, but Wisconsin’s loss to Illinois hurts him badly. Tua Tagovailo continues to put up big numbers, but another ankle injury might hurt his Heisman hopes. While Trevor Lawrence has struggled this year, Travis Etienne is still pushing for a Heisman campaign. And although Oregon lost early this year, you can’t rule out Justin Herbert yet either. And Young’s teammates at Ohio State, RB J.K. Dobbins & QB Justin Fields are also in the mix.
