What is the one thing that separates those that are routinely successful on the water? Knowledge. Knowledge was the one thing that fully and completely changed the game for me. Getting the right information from people who knew what they were doing, who knew what they were talking about. To become extremely knowledgeable in fly fishing, or any field for that matter, it is vital to seek out people with the knowledge or results that you want.
