No, the mindfulness mind is the mind which is already there, within you. It is the consciousness, the Conscious awareness of just being present. If only it were that simple. Buddha said that with our thoughts so we create our world. If you consider this quote, you realise how we set ourselves up, convince ourselves with our own thinking patterns. These patterns become fixed and soli as cornerstones of our reality, in the external world for all and any real change in our lives. Goals and desires and wants and needs for the new house, new car, new shoes, new partner, all will bring temporary pleasure which inevitably will be discarded and then you have to renew them all again and find it all somewhere else. With mindfulness practice, being present is sitting gently and allowing, then you open up to that which you already are, and this in itself delivers complete just being. This doesn't preclude or stop you going out into the world and achieving and doing and having fun, meeting people, having a good job, partners, children, etc. It's just that in the quietness of the night in the solitude of yourself you can find a deeper sense of calm and being which is always available to you, giving you access to a depth of happiness joy and contentment. which then you can share with your family with your friends with the others with the world all through the act of sitting and doing nothing on purpose.
