Is it always wrong to defend ourselves or to speak out if we are treated unjustly? Are Christians just supposed to be doormats for everyone else i in the world? If that is the case, then how do we deal with the fact that Jesus on numerous occasions and even Paul defended themselves and attacked their accusers verbally? We must think through these issues if we want to apply this text properly, so I am going to use five statements that explain and apply what Peter is saying, and you will have to apply it personally to yourself and your situation.
