As you see the differing opinions and disagreements going on right now, are you starting to lose your faith in humanity a bit? In today’s episode, we’ll talk about a few practical things you can do to both take care of yourself AND love other people well, even when we don’t agree.Show Notes:Gather with your people. (See Episode 22: How to Find and Develop Friendships)Listen more than you speak. (James 1:19)Know when to step away from it all.Remember that our hope is not in people, but in Jesus alone. This week’s practice:This week, take an honest look at how you’re feeling about other people, and pick at least one of these ideas to help you restore your faith in humanity. Have a conversation with a friend who is safe and loves you. Approach conversations with a desire to listen; ask questions and seek to understand. Maybe you choose a day to stay off of all social media, or you unfollow a few people. And most importantly, draw near to Jesus so he can remind you that HE is our only hope.More Resources:For more resources to help you connect with God in the chaos of motherhood, visit http://www.lindsaysterchi.com/free/.
