After each agenda item is discussed, take a moment to drill down on the specifics that were decided. By when?” “Who else do we need to involve or inform?” “Who is going to inform them?” “What do we expect from them?” “By when?” “What are the critical take-a-ways and the key messages to be shared?” These simple questions close the loops, ensure that meetings are productive, that decisions are actionable, and that everyone is on the same page and armed with the details necessary to lead forward.
