I was a HS guard and went to college a center. At OU day one I was the 4th string center and I had never played center before and I was clueless. My first real reps at center were a disaster and some of the coaches didn’t even know my name. Thankfully a tough talk from my mom and the guiding instruction from a legendary coach kept me focused.
