Did you know that Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture, and society and has been observed annually during the month of March in the United States since 1987. So this week with the help of our show historian, Stevie Anderson of the UK, we present to you an incredibly special For Those Who Know - honoring a few women who contributed to our music history, our music culture and our music society. Now you already know there are far too many women to name within this one hour. So, let me begin by thanking all the women who blazed the trails, opened the doors, and are still breaking the barriers for women just like me to do what we love to do best. Whether you’re the creative one behind the decks or producing the music that makes the whole world dance, we appreciate you. There is no way I was going to let this month that honors women go by without honoring you.
