In this week’s episode I had the pleasure of being accompanied by my recently-made new friend Björn Röjgren (@poor_bjorns_book_club on Instagram.) Who is Björn? Well, I’m not going to get into so many details from his personal life for the mere reason that they’re not going to be relevant to the conversation you’re about to enjoy during the next 55 minutes, but I’ll give you a couple if highlights. Back in 2015 Björn decided to read 24 books as an experiment—2 books a month. Interestingly, he ended up reading the astonishing amount of 80 books during that year. We talked about the reason behind this experiment, the first book he read, his reading process and how to take notes properly while reading a book. We also talked about his other experiments. Yes, if he finds an interesting idea on a book he has to test it out. One of the most remarkable of these experiments is the Rejection Therapy Experiment, where he decided to look for weird instances to get rejected for a whole month. But for his surprise, the one thing he failed at was at getting rejected. A square pizza and a shout-out from Daniel Priestley—author of the book Oversubscribed—are now part of his life anecdotes. And if I were to add another highlight to the introduction of this episode, I would mention his experience facing his fear of public speaking. Anyways, without further to say from my part, please enjoy the next 58 minutes.
