In this episode, PGP interviews Erin Khar whose memoir Strung Out, coming February 25, 2020 from HarperCollins | Park Row Books, about her fifteen-year battle with opiate addiction which explores the very nature of why people do drugs, casting light on the larger opiate crisis, written with the intention to destigmatize the topic of drug addiction. The three discuss her book, the shame surrounding addiction, her connection to Persian culture, their favorite Persian foods, and much more.
