Body Mass Index (BMI) has been a highly discussed subject in Singapore which is still used in hospitals and organisations. These which needs changing because the accuracy of these measurements does not always provide effective data for use. Also, as it is also used in certain organisations where stewardesses and stewards are selected on their aesthetics and how they look and must strictly fall into the range of BMI. To us it is literally borderline body shaming and it not only makes one feel that you aren't good enough because you do fall within the range or the aesthetic. With these issues stemming from BMI, the need to end the use of it and moving on the gold standard of measurements which is hydrostatic measurements. It will only improve the quality of data rather than assuming one is fat or too thin. Thus, it will need much that needs to be done by regulatory organisations. With that, enjoy the podcast and share it with the world.
