After Mamelodi Sundowns defeated Orlando Pirates 4-1 in last week’s delayed Nedbank Cup quarter-final, they immediately became the favourites to win the trophy. But in their semi-final tie against TTM, who are in a relegation battle in the DStv Premiership, the magic of the cup was not in Downs’ favour, with TTM snatching victory 6-5 on penalties after the sides went goalless in regulation. After the match, The SL Podcast asked supporters to send voice notes through for "The Fan Reaction Show". One supporter stated, "It wasn't Downs' day. They could play that match for 5 more days and still not scored. TTM did well in defense". Another fan chimed in, "It's good to see a turnround happening at TTM after the way they started".
