This week we speak with James Brindley, Managing Director of Lion Beer Australia. James started with Lion way back in 1994, just two years after the launch of XXXX Gold, which gives you some idea of the massive changes in the brewing scene which James has witnessed during his career. We wanted to look at how a large multi-national brewing business changes its business to adapt to the changing times, and especially how it adapts to the increasingly local focus of modern day beer drinkers. In another Radio Brews News scoop, we are privy to the announcement of two new local breweries being introduced by Lion. We are joined by Chuck Hahn during the interview to reveal one of these breweries. It's a conversation about the evolution of the beer market that includes the General Manager of Lion Beer admitting that he was wrong about one of Australia's fastest growing products. Enjoy the conversation. Our partners Radio Brews News is proudly presented by Cryer Malt. Your premium brewing partner and proud sponsors of Brews News. and this is Brews News Week. And as a guest on Beer is a Conversation, Adam also receives a new piece of exclusive merch for guests on the podcast...a branded Yeti Rambler mug, thanks to our good friends at Yeti. Every chat show has a branded mug and so when Yeti approached us to be part of the show, the Rambler mug seemed the perfect partnership. This is me speaking, not a paid plug and I am a huge fan of these for their build quality and how efficiently they keep beer cold when I am camping and not that worried about having the perfect glass for instagram. And they’re a really cool thing to give our guests to thank them for being on the show.
