Another eventful weekend of DStv Premiership fixtures has come and gone with several games causing a few surprises. Mamelodi Sundowns were involved in the biggest surprise of the weekend matches after they drew 1-1 with bottom of the table Black Leopards. Moroka Swallos dropped points after they drew 2-2 with Chippa United. However, in the match of the week, saw Orlando Pirates take on Kaizer Chiefs in the 100th Soweto Derby. Orlando Pirates were keen to inflict a fourth defeat on Kaizer Chiefs this season but Amakhosi proved to be up for the challenge. The game ended with Chiefs winning 1-0 thanks to a superb goal from Samir Nurkovic which saw him end his goal drought. Samir Nurkovic’ strike saw Kaizer Chiefs down Orlando Pirates 1-0 in the 100th Soweto Derby. Kaizer Chiefs seemed to be missing a few players but Pirates were without their star striker Thembinkos Lorch.
