Coach Magpayo has coached at several Division 1 colleges including Columbia, Campbell and University of San Francisco. In his first season as the Head Coach at UCR he finished with a school record in wins. Coach Magpayo is also a part of history as he is the first Asian American coach in Division 1 basketball in the modern era. He is also the proud founder and President of the Asian Coaches Association.
