These are just some of the topics we’re covering on today’s episode of the Soul Purpose Leadership podcast with David Norrie! David is the best-selling author of the book Turned On, co-host of the Turned On podcast and founder of Socially Speaking, an occupational training program designed to help entrepreneurs and professionals articulate their passions and products with a greater degree of charisma and marketability. We brought David on the show today because in this second quarter of 2021, we’re diving a little deeper into what leadership is - having some tougher convos, because let’s be real - it’s time. It needs to happen. And we’re forging the way with you and for you. On today’s episode, Leadership "+": The power of "stories," speaking up, elevator convos AND 1984!, we discuss storytelling. After all, storytellers are teachers, and as David says, “We have to get back to being human again.” Yep, we have to speak the truth even when - especially when - it’s hard. Have you been feeling the urge to speak up, but for whatever reason are holding back? David encourages us to GO THERE. “There is no other option,” he says. “It’s supposed to be ugly… it’s supposed to be hard. Because it’s going to define why you get up out of bed every day.” Finally, David teaches us that it’s not just our message that’s important, but how we deliver it. We need to not only create our mission statement, but get it out to the world in truth and in love.
