Les Miserables "The Bishop" July 23, 1937 A series of seven half hour programs produced for Mutual in July of 1937. Each program is complete in itself, each is based on another portion of the book. The radio adaptation is by Orson Welles who also directs and plays the lead. The cast includes Martin Gable, Agnes Moorehead and others that the next year would form the Mercury Theatre Players.
