Miscellaneous

In this episode, Jack puts Paige on the hot seat! They give the inside scoop of what's new in their life and what’s coming up, as well as opening up about vulnerable topics and experiences. The two give relationship advice and reflect on the different ways they process life changes. Paige gets vulnerable about her eating disorder. She discusses the societal pressures in summer to look a certain way in a bikini, the guilt and shame that comes with slacking off workouts and skipping meals. Eating disorders are often an old pattern and a vicious cycle, and she shares the importance of having support from others to hold you accountable and ensure your health is where it needs to be. They also talk about the next steps in their relationship following their move to Arizona, and the challenges and excitement that come with living together. New experiences, different geography, new community... how could it be better? While the excitement is a valid emotion, so are the others. Paige says, “Whenever you do something brave and outside of your comfort zone, it doesn’t come easy and natural... It is going to be hard. An adventure that will expose all the emotions... sadness, excitement, fear, and more.” Everyone processes their emotions differently, but every new adventure is one to be a light in the world and see it as an opportunity to grow.  Finally, what’s the future of the podcast going to look like? To stay centered around mental health. Mental health is hard. Everyone has a story, and everyone’s story is important, has depth, and matters. The connection with other people’s stories is what reveals our humanness and that we are not alone! We also talk about Eating disordersMovingRelationship adviceLife transitionsSocietal pressuresGetting out of your comfort zoneFamily sicknessDeathThe future of the podJack’s Resources:Instagram: @jackholmgrenIt's Hard Resources:https://www.itshardpodcast.comFollow It's Hard on Instagram if you don't already!
