Elliott grew up just outside D.C., and came of age during the Vietnam War protests and Watergate, so she was very aware of history in the making. But her love of history came from listening to elderly ladies discuss their lives. AdLit.org is a national multimedia project offering information and resources to the parents and educators of struggling adolescent readers and writers.
