In a more typical year, Christmas is advertised as a season of joy, excitement, and happiness. And this year, as we weather a pandemic, we are grieving and longing and struggling on multiple levels. Perhaps in no other Christmas season of our lives do the shadows of the night feel as looming and overwhelming.
