Over twenty-five years, South Australian artist Louise Haselton has established a predominantly sculptural practice utilising materials collected according to an affinity to form, surface or perceived history. Fascinated by the push and pull between function and aesthetic, Haselton’s work explores the dichotomy in the domestic, the industrial and the naturally occurring. In this episode of the ON ART Podcast, Ken Bolton and Monte Masi respond to Haselton’s practice through poetry and performance. Later in the episode, listen in on a conversation that Samstag curator Gillian Brown had with Louise Haselton amongst her exhibition, like cures like.Further details: unisa.edu.au/samstagmuseumThis podcast was produced by Denam Moore at The Message Pod, Kaurna Adelaide in August 2019.
