Welcome everybody! We have Mark Goldenson on the show today. Mark is a founder at VentureKit, and Network Leader at Village Global. He is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and community builder. The challenge is, “wanting to create something but not having the resource” For Mark, the hardest thing that founders deal with is fundraising. Most founders think that everybody is an investor, but startup founders must make sure that they are targeting the right investors, and in order to do this, they should know about storyboarding, figuring out one’s story and finding one’s unique advantage. Similarly, Mark also points out the importance of a mentor in accelerating learning. It’s the task of founders to reach out to them; meaning staying engaged and constantly giving status updates. He emphasizes on the importance of learning interpersonal skills and management skills as this could be helpful in relationships since we are all social people. In this regard, Mark shares insights for managers about providing feedback to the team and the power of delegation.
