With increasing concerns about global warming and stiff competition, industries are actively looking to cut their costs, carbon footprint, and lead times. Additive Manufacturing can help companies in achieving these goals by reducing waste and enabling them to build complex, bio-inspired, geometries which reduce weight and increase efficiency. As companies are now evaluating Additive Manufacturing for production and not only prototyping, the role of materials is becoming more important to ensure the required mechanical properties, productivity and performance.

In this episode of AM Infocast powered by m4p material solutions GmbH, I am joined by Priyanshu Bajaj, Regional Manager - Asia Pacific, m4p material solutions GmbH where we discuss the challenges and opportunities of materials designed for Metal Additive Manufacturing and talk about some cutting edge applications only possible with developing new alloys for use in the AM process.

Tune in to this episode to as we talk about the evolving landscape of high conductivity alloys for additive manufacturing and the future of materials for Metal Additive Manufacturing.

About Priyanshu Bajaj

Engineer, metallurgist, and 3D printing enthusiast with an entrepreneurial outlook; over 6 years of experience in industry & research. Currently building m4p (metals4printing.com) in Asia Pacific. Focussed on helping AM users - both service bureaus and end-users with their material challenges in additive manufacturing. Cutting short lead-times, batch-to-batch variation, and costs for standard materials used in metal AM. Going beyond the standard AM materials and finding the right material for applications when required, developing process parameters for the target material, and helping to develop post-process heat treatments.
