He started out working in local radio promotions and various music labels for years until becoming the executive vice president for Capitol Music Group in 2013. There, he worked with the likes of Katy Perry, Beck, and Jennifer Lopez. In 2016, he left Capitol to become the president of Maverick Music.Thompson’s journey from a radio promoter to the president of a major entertainment conglomerate makes him an incredible resource for any aspiring artist and managers trying to navigate the current industry.
