Religion & Spirituality

The Scriptures this Sunday are full of imagery of leafy gardens and strong, branching trees. These are the images the Scriptures use for living well ordered lives--which is precisely the goal of "Ordinary Time," which is a bit of a misnomer. Better to call it "ordered time," to evoke the ordering of our lives around the sacred mysteries celebrated in Christmas and Easter, Corpus Christ and the Holy Trinity.  As we pass from the heights of celebration, let's make good resolutions to follow through on the inspirations and consolations we received in those transformative seasons.  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/hucklefather/support
