NGFP Local Lunch

Arts

Hello and welcome to our weekly NGFP Local Lunch podcast trailer where we provide you, our lovely listeners everything you need to know about Nottingham’s local food heroes and how you can get more involved in our vibrant local food scene! Local lunch is brought to you by me Shona Munro and me Penney Poyzer of Nottingham Good Food Partnership the go to organisation for sustainable food in our fair city. This week our guest is Sam Preston. Sam is behaviour change officer at Nottingham City Council and an NGFP board member. Sam is also a Roosevelt Scholar and she will be telling us about the highlights (of which there are many) of her trip to the USA last autumn when she visited sustainable food projects across the country. Now it was very recently announced by EDIE the influential on line environmental news organisation that a panel of judges had selected 30 young people under 30 who they think are the sustainability visionaries of 2020 - and our Sam is one of them - so we look forward to hearing more about that. We will talk about what could work here and also about the many projects that we work on together - including the city council’s carbon neutral 2028 vision, Carbon Neutral Kitchen and what to do about the coffee waste the city produces! So tune in this Friday at 1.30pm. Simply search for NGFP Local Lunch on your browser and we will pop up! See you then! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ngfplocallunch/message
