Migraine:  Diagnosis and Treatment  Evaluation and Credit: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MedChat9 Target Audience             This activity is targeted toward internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, and neurology.    Statement of Need  A recent study concluded that 12 percent of Americans suffer from migraine headaches and migraines/headaches is a top diagnosis for physician visits.  Providers should be current on recognizing the symptoms of migraines as well as how to treat migraines or when to refer to a neurologist. Objectives At the conclusion of this offering, the participant will be able to: Diagnose headache disorders and migraines. Describe treatment and preventative therapies for migraines, including both prescribed and over-the-counter. Discuss emerging trends in the treatment of migraines.
