Codie Oliver is a woman of many hats. The mother of three, wife, businesswoman, filmmaker is also the co-creator of the hit docuseries Black Love on OWN with husband Tommy Oliver. Codie and Tommy came up with the idea and started filming the Black Love Series even before they fell in love. When Black Love premiered on OWN it had 1.2 million total viewers, making it OWN’s most-watched unscripted series debut in network history and its highest-rated unscripted series debut in more than four years in the demo. In addition to the series the couple has gone on to create BlackLove.com and Black Love Live to keep the conversation going with content created specifically for the Black community including, marriage, health, parenting, dating, etc. In episode 41 Codie talks about falling in love, how she and Tommy balance life, love, parenthood, and business, and the importance of showing what a successful black marriage looks like.
