Good Monday morning welcome to the Idaho Farm Bureau market report, available on Spotify and itunes. We’re coming to you from Boise where it’s 37-degrees here morning, 23 degrees in Pocatello and IF, 32-degrees in the Magic Valley and 34-degrees in Moscow and CDA.Onto the markets: May 21st Corn futures opens at $5.85 up 9 cents this week in Chicago.The wheat future market opens mixed with Hard Red Winter the biggest mover. Front month KC wheat futures opens in the black, with 1 to 4 cent gains. May HRW opens the week 22 cents above last week. Chicago futures opens at 6.52 down a cent.Big gains locally this morning over in Blackfoot   | - Soft White Wheat | 4.99 | up 11 | - Hard Red Winter | 5.21 | up 12 | - DNS 14% | 6.04 | up 4 | - Hard White | 5.16 | up 12 Fat cattle futures open with gains of 22 cents. June futures are widening the April premium to $1.67. Cash trade opens a dollar higher at $115, Dressed sales open at $185. Feeder cattle futures open with gains up to 90 cents. The CME Feeder Cattle Index is $136.75, up by a $1.29.Sugar opens at 16 cents per pound and opens up 1.8 percentThe heating oil opens at 49.93 and holding steady.Milk opens strong at  $17.64 and holding steady from last week.Supreme hay going for 190, Feeder hay up to 140 if you can find it.You can check out all of the Idaho market prices on the Idaho Farm Bureau website.
