This Sunday we are in Exodus 14. The Israelites have been released from Egypt... but the Egyptians are now in pursuit of them. What are the Israelites asked to do? Turn and face their pursuers... in the most exposed position possible. They had no where to go but into the Red Sea. Who would save them? We are reminded that this story is not about Moses. It is about God. When faced with the most difficult of situations, how far have Moses and the Israelites come? Do they trust the ways of God?It doesn't need to be asked if you have ever faced a difficult situation, we are living in one! So where do we turn in these difficult times? To our own resources? Or to God and His ways? How we answer this question determines not only the outcome but who gets the credit when we are on the other side.
