In 2013, sisters Mary Lou Stropoli and Kathy Willoughby turned their mother's 50-year-old toffee recipe into a home-based business. Today, Mother Mary's Toffee is sold more than 40 stores from Ann Arbor to Grosse Pointe, and is poised to make a huge leap as the company celebrates its second anniversary on September 1.
