The Dow came in for a closing gain of nearly 500 points. It ended about 800 points below its high of the day in another volatile session on reports a snag had developed in the coronavirus rescue deal. Stocks moved up for the second day in a row for the first time since early February and followed a 2,113 point closing gain in the previous trading session.
