Lionel Hollins is an American basketball coach and a former professional basketball player. Drafted out of Arizona State University, he played for the Portland Trail Blazers. After retiring from playing professional basketball, he had a successful career coaching teams like the Memphis Grizzlies and Brooklyn Nets. In today's podcast, we will hear coach Hollins tell the story of being raised by his incredible grandmother who taught him the importance of overcoming obstacles. Having only an 8th grade education and trying to raise a handful of grandchildren on her own, Lionel's grandmother was an early influencer in his life, and contributed greatly to his success.
