Miscellaneous

In this very special edition of the National Football Foundation-St. Louis Tom Lombardo Chapter podcast, we're joined by legendary NFL coach Jim Hanifan, who served as the St. Louis Cardinals' offensive line coach from 1973-78, their head coach from 1980-85, and the St. Louis Rams' offensive line coach from 1997 until his retirement following the 2002 season. Flanking Coach Hanifan were five St. Louis Cardinals football alumni: Johnny Roland (1966-72), Tim Van Galder (1967, 71-72), Eric Williams (1977-81), Bob DeMarco (1961-69), & Irv Goode (1962-71). During a conversation moderated by KMOV's Maurice Drummond, the Big Red gang discusses their memories of playing and living in St. Louis (5:00-17:00, 19:20-26:45), Van Galder reminisces about his days living with Joe Namath (17:00-19:00), Hanifan reminisces about Don Coryell and the impact that he made in the NFL (26:55-39:30), and Williams, DeMarco, and Goode talk about how different the game was when they played -- "total violence," as Williams describes it -- than it is today(39:30-45:19).
