Nick is joined by Racing Post senior writer Lee Mottershead to discuss the day's national and international racing news, headlined by the release of the 2021 Melbourne Cup entries. As featured in Ep. 213 (April 28th), the regulatory changes to the race have significantly lessened the European entry. Leigh Jordan, Executive General Manager of the Victoria Racing Club, explains to Nick why his team remain fairly happy with 15 overseas entries despite a 50% drop from 2020. Nick and Lee also discuss the growing problem of crowd control on British Racecourses and look ahead to the Group One in Deauville this afternoon, while NLD regular Rishi Persad joins from Tokyo to discuss the British Eventing Team's Gold medal. Micheal Orlandi, owner of Starfield Stud in Co. Westmeath, is this week's Weatherbys Bloodstock guest.
