Phil Balagtas is a design leader with over two decades of experience in design presently working as Experience Design Director at McKinsey Design and also the founder of The Design Futures Initiative, which is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that produces events and workshops to evangelize the various approaches which involve using Design to speculate about alternate futures. Phil has a wonderful experience working in various devices and platforms within non-profit, retail, advertising, and enterprise software organizations. In this episode,  Phil had shared great insights on speculative design and how to use speculative design as a vehicle or method to think about alternative futures, and why designers should speculate. We also discussed how speculative design could integrate with Design Thinking to form future stories or fiction.
