In 1907 Florence Maybrick was found guilty of murdering her husband and was sentenced to death. The principal evidence in the case came from her brother-in-law, Michael Maybrick, a celebrated musical composer. The evidence was thin and of doubtful source but the jury believed it. Did they feel that the composer of 'Holy City' wouldn't lie?
