Ram Nath Kovind, President of India, would be awarding a total of 119 Padma Awards which includes 102 Padma Shri's, 7 Padma Vibhushan, and 10 Padma Bhushan Awards. Due to the Pandemic, last year the Padma Award ceremony was canceled. But this year the ceremony took place, several prominent personalities were invited to the ceremony and were awarded Padma awards. Former External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj received Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian Award whereas Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, filmmaker Karan Johar, Producer Ekta Kapoor accepted Padma Shri which is India's fourth-highest civilian award.
