On Monday the 11th of October, Adelaide guitarist Bob Balsamo and BAND IT ABOUT host Di Spillane were interviewed by Zofia Dendunnen on her weekly PBAFM community radio program 'Manic Monday', to discuss the 'Greg's Wish' Event which is being held at 'The Gov' on Sunday the 17th of October. Many thanks to Zofia for giving us this opportunity to share our event with her audience, and for allowing me to use the audio for this bonus podcast episode. About the event: 'Greg's Wish' A TVC Musical Extravaganza to Celebrate the Life of Greg Truman who sadly passed away on the 16th of July 2021, after a 2-year battle with brain cancer. Greg's Wish was, with the help of his friends and musical peers, to organize a benefit concert in support of the Flinders Foundation, and the Childhood Cancer Association; both causes close to his heart. With the blessing of Greg’s family, close friends and musical buddies, Greg’s Wish will now be realized. All of the proceeds raised from the sale of tickets to this event will be evenly distributed between both. With so many incredible players coming together to honor the life and work of Greg Truman, we are assured of a wonderful celebration of the man, the music, and his craft, and will be reminded of his legacy each time his much-loved TVC guitars call out from The Gov stage. Special appearances by Greg’s Bandmates: Wall Street, FM Band, Ubangi Stomp, and Shades of Blue. The following talented musicians have given their time and will dedicate their performance in honour and support of Greg and his wishes: The Chris Finnen Band, Michael Winter, Trapper & Michael Rigby Steve Brown & Dave Rhodes (Duo) James Muller, Snooks La Vie, and Chris Soole Mark Hawkins, Ronny Davidson, Peter Allen, and Richard Bateman Billy Bob Rankin, Dusty Lee Stephenson & the boys. The event will be held in The Gov Main Room on Sunday October 17th. Doors open at 2PM, Live Music from 3PM – 7:30PM.
