hello folks! welcome to episode 42. This episode concerns the great confessional poet, Sylvia Plath. I believe she is a second or third generation confessional poet from Robert Lowell and Elizabeth Bishop as prime mentors/teachers and I believe they were first or second generational confessional poets. I have not confirmed this as of yet. Thank you for your support folks. NOTE: Ariel was the second book of Sylvia Plath's poetry to be published. It was originally published in 1965, two years after her death by suicide. (Wikipedia) Originally published: 1965. In the copy of Ariel I read from there are publishing dates of 1961 up to 1965(published by the poet Ted Hughes who I believe represented the estate as well) --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ckhanson81/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/ckhanson81/support
