We examine players who were unfortunate or lucky to get to represent Ireland a handful of times over the last two decades. For every Shay Given and Robbie Keane, there are a number of failed understudies who just couldn't do enough to establish themselves as a near permanent fixture in the team. From players who have collected a wealth of Aer Lingus gold card points from traveling with Irish squads all around the world, to the players who vanished into obscurity as mysteriously as the appeared in the Irish squad.
