A refreshing conversation with Khai Hori, a contemporary art curator in Singapore with international experience. ____________________________________________ Khai Hori is a central figure in the local Singapore Art Scene : He's the current Director and Partner of Chan + Hori Contemporary in Singapore, and has crossed path with many individuals within, and outside of the arts industry. His past portfolio includes being the Deputy Director of Artistic Programming at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, Senior Curator at the Singapore Art Museum where he oversaw Singapore’s national collection for contemporary art, and was also Senior Curator for Curatorial Development at the National Heritage Board, Singapore. His work has been known for its multidisciplinary and unconventional approach to curating influenced by my past experiences in theatre and art creation. Khai speaks on his creative journey through the years, sharing personal stories and anecdotal experiences , as well as the network of artists and individuals he has had the pleasure to meet and work with. He peppers his thoughts with the intuition and understanding of a creative visionary and practitioner, and his enthusiasm to the artistic , whatever form it might take, rings clear in the conversation.
