Legendary Man Cave Podcast

Society & Culture

Rob and Ryan take on the ever present concept of racism in our society.  The duo start by discussing a video posted by our good friend Nicholas Wildstar of woman on bus calling him The Predator and saying she was “harassed” by his presence. That he was not “her color.”  Rob tells the story of him being at the laundromat and getting harassed by the manager because he fell asleep waiting for his laundry to dry and a women felt “Unsafe” by his presence. Ryan is confused by the Jews - “Is it a religion, a race, an ethnicity?”  Ultimately Ryan doesn’t care about racism in the private sector. The problem is in the public sector and particularly in the area of law enforcement (aka. The protected class). Bias of all kids is just human nature.  Why can’t we see our inequalities as a feature rather than a problem. Worldwide division of labor. Making people equal is a stupid concept. Even creating equal opportunity, while a far superior endeavor, is still not a completely reachable goal. Individuals are all different and this is not a flaw, it’s a feature. It creates comparative advantage. Minorities need to have a different thought process around racism and we can use that to our advantage.  The concept of equality is stupid. Use your inequality to your advantage.  Stop giving people power over you.  Rob tells the story of when he was called a Jigaboo at a concert.  Rob recalls the living in south central L.A. and being harassed by people of his own race.  We should publish an E-book called “The Guide To Rethinking Racism.”  We will never edit anything out. We’re just that good. It’s our comparative advantage. Website: http://legendarymancave.com/ Become a Patron! Sponsored Links: Learn a new skill that can get you out of the same tired ratrace your in.
