Looking at Psalm 31:9-16 Today, we celebrate Palm Sunday… this is also the start of the church’s Holy Week… Our Scripture today is Psalm 31 and it’s one of three psalms that appear prominently in the story of Jesus’ final week on the way to the cross... This part of the story begins in Matthew 21 where the writer tells us of Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem.., and tells us of the prophecy in the Old Testament where we can find the announcement that the King of Israel would arrive in Jerusalem… that’s in Zechariah 9.9 where it says he enters… not as a warrior on his horse, but on a donkey.
