What happens when we find ourselves enamored with more than one genre? Why, we mix them! And Romantic Suspense is one of those genre marriages that people seem to love most.   Going beyond genre expectations can often expand a book’s demographic. Men, for example, are not typically drawn to the romantic genre, but might be more inclined if you throw suspense, mystery, crime or thriller components into the mix.    Such is the appeal of genre-blending author Lori Matthews, whose novels include "Smash and Grab", and "Break and Enter", both part of the Callaghan Security Series. You'll find out how she compares/contrasts her work with "cozy mysteries", and how her personal travels have influenced her fiction. Lori was raised in Canada, in a family of readers. Inspired by her mother's Harlequin novels, as well as the works of Agatha Christie, Lori dabbled in writing in high school, then engaged more seriously with it after earning two degrees, marrying and having children. Today, she does it all at her home in Princeton, New Jersey. Find out more on Books That Make You. You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
