Welcome to Chippy Lane’s Podcast, series two the PICTURES / LLUNIAU PROJECT. This series celebrates Welsh and Wales-based writers and their stories. Each episode focuses on a new writer, a personal picture of there’s and a story they want to share with you. So, sit back and enjoy.    ‘ASHES TO ASHES, FUNK TO FUNKY’ Written by Martha Reed (Chippy Lane's Writing Apprentice)   WRITER: MARTHA REED Martha is a Welsh writer for theatre and film. She is currently Chippy Lane Productions’ Writing Apprentice, working on new musical Toy Mic Trev by award-winning writer Alan Harris. Her first full-length play, Existential Fish and Dread, played at The Bread and Roses Theatre to 4- and 4.5-star reviews in 2019. Her previous theatre credits include short plays How Loan Can You Go? (Words in Progress) at the Pleasance Islington, and Vera Jones (Who Run the World?) at the Old Red Lion. Her first short film screenplay, Falling Apart at the Seams, was awarded third place in the Women Over Fifty Film Festival screenwriting competition.    PERFORMER: ELIAN WEST  Elian is a Welsh actress and trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts studying Actor Musicianship and graduated in 2017. Since graduating, Elian her performance credits have included; Celia in Worlds Apart In War (Theatr Clwyd), Alice in Alice In Wonderland (Sherman Theatre), Anna in The Yalta Game (Sherman Theatre), Princess Susie in Sleeping Beauty: The Rock ‘n’ Roll Panto (Theatr Clwyd), Kate Bonney in James Bonney MP (White Bear Theatre, London) and Vocalist for the Welsh Musical Theatre Orchestra. She has most recently finished a run at the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch (London Theatre of the Year, 2019) TV & Radio credits include: Torchwood: Radio Series (Big Finish Productions), Six Nations Commercial: Wales V Scotland (BBC) Credits whilst training include: MC in Oh! What A Lovely War, Golde in Fiddler On The Roof and Adam in As You Like It.   Director: ALICE EKLUND Alice is a Welsh director for theatre based in Cardiff. Alice’s production of ‘Constellations’ by Nick Payne represented Wales as their National Champion at the British One Acts Festival, Harrogate Theatre. The production picked up multiple awards including ‘Best Performance’ and ‘Best Director’. Alice is the founder of ‘bolSHE’, a company that celebrates womxn that create and inspire in Wales. Credits include: ‘The Awkward Years’, Matthew Bulgo (Assistant Director, The Other Room); ‘On Scarborough Front/The Kaiser and I’ (Assistant Director, Lighthouse TC); ‘The Welsh Harpist', Bex Betton (Director, USW Showcase); ‘Constellations’, Nick Payne (Director, British One Acts Festival & The Other Room); ‘The 12 Plays of Christmas’, R&D (Assistant Director and Welsh Dramaturgy, The Other Room); ‘A Night In The Clink’, Matthew Bulgo, Branwen Davies and Tracy Harris (Asst.
