The Amerikan Therapy team is always seeking to learn new ways to improve the quality of our mental health, through both traditional and unconventional modalities.  We sit down with Dr. Rennes Toussaint-Keshinro (Dr. Rennes) to learn about how Chiropractic Science connects to our overall mental wellbeing.  Dr. Rennes is affectionately known as the dancing  Chiropractor on social media and her warm demeanor and commitment to improving the wellness of her community shines through in this interview.  She shares how many of our muscular aches and pains are often the residue of untreated emotional traumas and mental health challenges.  Chiropractic science is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of the disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health.Dr. Rennes Toussaint-Keshinro is a Doctor of Chiropractic, mental wellness coach, and mental health advocate. Her journey includes her migration to the US at age 13 and struggling to find her identity which eventually led her on a three-year self-discovery journey through South America. In the last 6 years she has practiced in 3 different countries but today what excites her the most is her Dance for Mental Health movement. Dance for Mental Health encourages women who are suffering in silence to find their identity, their voice, and to take back their power. She understands the connection of the physical and mental body and why it should not be looked at separately. Her goal is to inform, educate, and build awareness about mental health, especially in the black community. She is also the owner of Sign of Strength LLC, a mental health awareness shop. Her advocacy with the National Alliance on Mental Illness - New York (NAMI-NYC) is in support of integrating mental health education in the educational system. Instagram:  @dr.rennesContact:  https://linktr.ee/Dr.RennesSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/AMERIKANTHERAPY)
