Arts

Welcome to Comedy & Camping w/Aubree Sweeney! In this episode, Aubree opens with a bit she’s been working on for her upcoming album, “It’s Raining Shit” coming out this Spring. After sharing her Cyndi Lauper obsession, Aubree jumps into her favorite trip to San Diego. Between multiple shows at Comedy Heights and Mad House, by the way, there was a proposal at one of those shows. He said, “yes.” Aubree had time to do some serious site-seeing. She spent quite a bit of time enjoying Balboa Park, home of the Old Globe. She absolutely loved their production of “Ebenezer Scrooges Big San Diego Adventure”. If you don’t want to wait to catch an Old Globe Production, on Christmas Eve, you can listen to “The Grinch” on the radio at www.kpbs.org.Aubree shares her love of Talvera Pottery, the amazing dog-friendly restaurants at Old Town and their menus specifically made for dogs. It gets scary when she talks about the haunting of Yankee Jim and El Campo Santo. But, she brings us back to less scary thoughts talking about the perfect camping location, Chula Vista RV Resort. She also gets into “The Green Ribbon”, her favorite childhood story and starting an adult, “Book-It” with personal panned pizzas. Did you think you’d get out of here without a song? Aubree serenades us with Love Song by The Cure.Aubree’s joined by Atlas. She closes out the episode with his origins story. Thanks so much for listening to Comedy & Camping! Please remember to keep lifting each other up!
