Many of us wish we could have lived when Jesus was on the earth. We could walk side by side, ask any questions we wanted, and be comforted by his life-giving presence. But Jesus said it was better that He go away so the gift could come. The amazing gift Jesus was talking about is the Holy Spirit. Through His Spirit we have access to Jesus as if He were here. Even better is the truth that this gift dwells in us. Jesus moved from beside us to inside us through His Spirit!
