Saturday Morning Coffee - the Reese Boyd Radio Hour

Miscellaneous

Welcome to Saturday Morning Coffee for Saturday, June 19, 2021!Welcome to a special Father's Day edition of Saturday Morning Coffee, the Reese Boyd Radio Hour.  This week's episode features some of our favorite "Dad's Day" music, including "Drive" by Alan Jackson and many more of our favorites.  On this edition of Saturday Morning Coffee, Reese reflects on some of his favorite Father's Day memories, and we also discuss the newly-enacted federal "Juneteenth" holiday and its history.  We also pay a special tribute to Kay James, President of the Heritage Foundation, and shares her comments on the Juneteenth Holiday with our listeners.  We also discuss the recent rise of "Critical Race Theory" and how dangerous this doctrine is, and how dangerous it is to immerse our children and young people (or any of us) in any doctrine that divides us as a nation.  Reese draws a comparison between the teachings that are being advanced in schools today, in contrast to the doctrine of the "Great American Melting Pot" that was once taught in civics classes in almost every school.Jan 6 Riots:  Reese discusses a recent interview with Darren Beattie, with Revolver News, that aired on Tucker Carlson's show this week, in which recent allegations that have surfaced that the FBI may have been far more involved in the events of January 6 than we have previously known.  If true, this could be one of the biggest (and most harmful) stories of this year, if not the last 50 years.  Reese is joined on the show by Jim Furry, a retired former FBI Supervisory Agent, to discuss this very important story.Check-in with the 15th Circuit Solicitor:  the Hon. Jimmy Richardson, Solicitor for the 15th Judicial Circuit (Horry/Georgetown Counties), joins us for an update from the Solicitor's Office.  We discuss recent death-penalty legislation in Columbia that has brought executions back from an unofficial hiatus in South Carolina, and other information regarding the Solicitor's office, and Richardson's campaign that has just been launched to seek re-election to his post in 2022.Thanks for listening!  Next week will be the second anniversary of Saturday Morning Coffee, so we'll have some extra-special gifts for our listeners, and we'll have some very special moments planned for the show!  Have a blessed week and be sure to join us next week for more Saturday Morning Coffee!Proverbs 3:5-6<><
